Troy

Welcome to my homepage!  I've spent many years both surfing the web and creating web pages, but never got around to creating a little spot for myself.  I know this page will get lost in the realm of the cyber-reality, but I can find comfort in knowing I am out there, waiting to be found.

For those of you who don't know me, my name is Troy, as of just before the year 2000 I am 21, I am a Caucasian male and I live in Salt Lake City, Utah.  I currently work as a Web Technician creating and maintaining the website for a law-enforcement entity here in Utah.  I graduated from high school with High Honors and I am currently attending the University of Utah (part-time) trying to work on a Computer Engineering Degree.  I entered the University of Utah as a Sophomore, but have taken a couple of years off from schooling.  I have spent six weeks in São Paulo, Brazil.  I got married on June 13th to my friend since second grade.  Three months, one week later we split up do to financial and familial stresses on the relationship.  My family had never approved nor liked her family, so I told my own family to go to hell before I married this girl.  Then I begged my fiance not to let her controlling mother influence our relationship prior to us taking our vows, which she agreed to do.  Three months, one week later I realized that I had not married my sweetheart from so many years, but her mother-miniature-in-the-making.  We tried for the sake of the relationship and the marriage to get back together with our own place and our own lives two weeks after I left initially, but after a month-and-a-half I realized the relationship had been destroyed and we again separated.  That was November 12, 1998.  As of the day I am creating this page, November 8, 1999, we are still married and trying to get divorced.  She applied for divorce initially and I was going along as my own counsel.  She lost her first lawyer and came back with an ammended complaint for divorce that was full of libel.  I received an unsigned copy of said document, which is fortunate because my whole family was prepared to file against her for what she claimed therein.  I contacted Legal Aid who referred me to a lawyer.  My lawyer has been truly wonderful and patient during this whole ridiculous process.  My soon-to-be-ex-wife is currently, as of November 8, 1999, on her third lawyer and still trying to fight and push all the fault on me and indicate I am responsible for over $18,000 worth of "marital assistance" from her parents.  Anyway, enough bitching about the two queens of the bitches...

I enjoy plaing the piano, which I've done since I was eight years old.  I'm not fabulous at it but I do pretty well.  I used to play the violin, which I want to get back into some time soon.  I like playing volleyball and swimming, although I don't get chance to do a whole lot of either.  I enjoy playing games--either card, board, or computer--with my friends and family and I do get to do that often.  I like to watch movies and just hang out with my friends.  I don't smoke.  I have had a couple of drinks since I turned 21, but only a small taste of beer to reiterate my dislike for it.  I enjoy Strawberry Daquiris and Parrot Bay Cokes.  I've never really been drunk and am unsure whether I want to.  I've never done drugs, either.  I enjoy e-mailing and chatting with my friends online, especially my friend from Riga, Latvia.

There's more to come!  This is just a starting kick in the ass to get me going!  Until I get more online, have fun surfing!

I am also in the process of sorting and thumbnailing over 1,500 pics to put up on this page!
